Detailed criteria, guidance and eligibility is due to be released later this year and the Hub is working with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy on the scheme detail and timetable. It is expected that the programme will be launched, and delivery to start, to follow on from the end of the Green Homes Grant Local Authority Delivery schemes due to end in late 2021.
The UK government is intending to provide £150 million under the Homes Upgrade Grant to support local authority delivery of housing retrofit low carbon heating measures. It will target Band D, E, F and G rated domestic dwellings that are not connected to a gas network, and low-income households. Guidance and criteria are expected to be issued in the summer of 2021.
