The North East and Yorkshire Net Zero conference  joined the agenda at a major regional conference on 3rd December.

The sixth Great Northern Conference event – which this year took place in Hull – brings together politicians, business leaders, academics and media to discuss how best to grow the regional economy and build a “greener, fairer, equal future for the North”.

Net Zero was one of the key themes of the event and the Hub’s project manager for Hull and East Yorkshire Harry Baross was one of the main speakers, presenting alongside West Yorkshire

Mayor Tracey Brabin, York and North Yorkshire Mayor David Skaith, and Chair of GB Energy, the government’s new nationally owned energy company, Juergen Maier, and Chancellor, Rachel Reeves also spoke at the event.

Harry forms part of the Hub’s Local Capacity Support, which sees Project Managers embedded within our partner Combined Authorities, adding capacity and capability to the development and delivery of local energy projects.
